News: Upcoming 2m FM simplex event: 145 ALIVE

Tim Heir (G5TM) 2 years ago ran some events on 2m called ‘145 ALIVE’. The events were set up with a station on each of several frequencies acting as a controller and refering lots of stations to each other. These events aimed to ’light-up’ the 2m band.

The last event was a success with over 200 contacts logged. The 145 ALIVE events mainly cover the South, South East and East Midlands.

Tim asks on Twitter whether radio amateurs would be interested in another such event this December or January. There is a poll here running until 2022-12-03 with options for potential future dates.
